Wheel Balancing

Are you experiencing vibrations in your steering wheel?  Through the floor?  Dashboard?  Seats?

These all indicate wheel imbalance and will not only make for unpleasant driving but will also speed up tyre tread wear as well as wear in other suspension components.

When should I have my wheels balanced?

  • Wheels must always be balanced after a tyre fitting; therefore we do this as standard and the cost is included in the price of the new tyre(s).
  • If you've hit your wheel on a kerb for example, you may have caused damage to the rim and imbalance so it's advisable to get wheel balancing carried out.
  • If you are experiencing any vibrations when driving.

How it works.

We use a wheel balancer which rotates the wheel at speed to detect areas of imbalance.  Weights are then placed in the detected areas to counteract the imbalance and the wheel is rotated at speed again to ensure the wheel is now correctly balanced.
